|

I have just downloaded the petrol station POIs into my Tomtom running through a MIO Digiwalker and each petrol company shows as an individual POI. Can I group them together so I can just put in Fuel as a POI for convenience sake to call them all up together |

Select "Combine subcategories into category file" at section 4 under the POI list before downloading the petrol stations again. _________________ Anita

Thanks Anita, I think there may be something wrong with the fuel POI file it keeps resetting the connection when I try it is it too big? Others seem to work OK. |

For someone to help you with your problem, it would be good if you explain a bit more fully what "it keeps resetting the connection " means. What connection? What are the "resetting" symptoms? What, if any, error messages are you getting? What S/W is producing the error messages? |

The error I get is "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." I only get it when trying to combine the fuel category, the POIs download fine without combining and other groups like low bridges combine without any problem. I was wondering if note 3 is the cause. Thanks |

Have you tried using the Show Link Option, next to the Download Button? _________________ Richard

Hi Oldboy, all I'm trying to do is download the fuel POI combined so it will show as 1 POI category. I've downloaded it without combining but of course they are showing as single POIs and yes I@ve tried the show link button but it never gets far enough to show anything. I've also tried on IE and Firefox and get the same problem |

Seems possible. I was just able to D/L the CSV file a couple of times on combined, but the OV2 option would not download. It gave ne a page not found error. But separate worked OK. As there are about 70 files in the POI D/L it seems like note 3 rules for combined fuel on OV2 D/L. (Unless someone knows differently). |

Expand the category by clicking on the '+' beside it and then tick the subcategories you want, or tick the box beside the category and untick the subcategories you don't want. _________________ Anita

Thanks to all, I now have a single fuel category. Reduced the number to less than 20 and downloaded without a hitch. |

Glad to hear it!
The limit of 20 combined subcategories for OV2 files is a real pain, but I'm sure it's been investigated very thoroughly, and the only way around it is the POIEdit option mentioned on the download page. _________________ Anita

Thanks Anita, this was the 1st time I used this site and did read the instructions. I did mention size of file and note 3 about 8 posts ago. Perhaps it would be better to change note 3 to read SUB categories as I thought each POI set listed was a category. |
