I'd be interested in hearing of some GPS TMC hardware in the UK too...
The only one I've seen is the GNS 9830. I think it's Leadtek GPS hardware with the TMC receiver tacked on to it.
I've only seen them on eBay too.. We need to get UK suppliers for these things
Also, does anyone know if one of these would work 'normally' with TT2 - or does the fact it does TMC make it incompatible? |

My understanding is that the one provided by Navigon is the GNS mouse....
I think that as long as Navigon or Alturion do not have a UK distributor we won't see any in the 'shops' here.... |

There is indeed - it's made by GNS GmbH for Navigon, it's actually a modular device that allows you to start with a regular GPS unit and add bluetooth and/or TMC if and when you require it - a number of places will sell you the parts:
This is not an exhaustive list, just places that occurred to me as I wrote this reply:
www.computeruniverse.net (where I bought mine from)
www.navigon.com
www.roadrama.com (in the UK but seem to charge the same - or more - in £ as the others do in €) |

I bought mine on www.navigon.de in Germany ( there you find the upgrade forms ) as an soft+hardware upgrade from my TomTom. Prices are very good including software ( 379 Euro for Soft + Maps of Europe + bluetooth GPS + TMC receiver + shippingcost included ) and delivered by UPS. |
