M1 closed ?!

The HD Traffic on my TT550 was this morning indicating that the M1 was closed between J17 & J16 southbound, when it was actually operating perfectly normally. I also noticed this as I drove in the opposite direction last night.

Is anyone else observing this issue, or is it limited to my device?

TomTom HD Traffic website shows LANE closures in the area around J15 and J18....

No, this was a complete closure of the Southbound carriageway - it refused to route me along that section of road. I'll see if it's corrected tomorrow morning and report it if necessary.

There's a closure on the A1 near me but it's only in effect between 8pm and 6am. However HD Traffic seems to be treating it as a 24 hour closure as it would not route past it this afternoon.

Could that explain things?

Although the website in your case said it was a lane closure when the device reported total closure.

I think it was just a one-off mistake - it has been fine since Tuesday morning.

The lane closures around J15 & J18 are more permanent fixtures on TT, although neither of these operate 24 hours a day.
