I have looked through loads of forums and loads mention it but none say how to get them to work together. I have the iPhone 3GS

CamerAlert and Navigation apps. don't really work "together", but more "at the same time".
Have you read the section on Multitasking in the instructions?

I am trying to work out how to ensure that CamerAlert starts when NavFree starts using the new item in the latest version. Is anyone able to give me the URL name I should add as it is not one of the built in ones

or navfree://
It's been added to the new version that's being messed about by Apple I just can't remember off hand which one it is!
