Hi i'm a newbie to this site hope you can help me...I have a rac satnav200 with uk map...am going to the states soon and would like to use it over there.it has alabel on the back saying windows ce core 5.0 what make of sd card with us mapping can I stick in it?Can any one help this dummy?!!

I don't know if you can buy a US map on an SD card, but a quick hunt seems to show you can still download maps for the RAC SatMap 200 from the Route 66 website.

The first page I found on the RAC site, says:

The range of RAC SatNavs have a dedicated helpline - 01302 720006 - which is marked on the back of each satnav device. If you have any queries about any RAC SatNav and you are unable to find the answer on the forum, please call us and we will be able to help.

In order to download software for your RAC SatNav, please refer to the Route 66 website


The second page says:

Can I download extra maps for my RAC SatNav?
Answer:
Yes, you can purchase extra maps straight from within your Route66 sync software

(same link as the one above)

I would give them a ring in the morning as all the graphics on the web pages are very out of date relative to the newer current Route 66 version.

The version of Route 66 loaded to the RAC units was very good in use (I had it installed to a PDA for a few years), the newer versions are reduced in funtionality and I would check prior to purchase that they will even work on your hardware before you spend any cash - Mike
