Garmin Dezl phoning home?

Hello all,

As an old bloke who's never used bluetooth before, why after about a week of daily use from new, would my my mobile phone tell me that the Dezl is asking for permission to access the internet?

I went online when I first received the Dezl and updated that which needed updating.

I don't know why it wants to 'phone home' now?

Could somebody enlighten me please?

Pure guesswork on my part - it'll probably be some default setting to check for updates (just like Windows does) every now and again. In that circumstance it would grumble at you if it didn't have an internet connection.
