Newbie post!!!

I've got an XDA 2 and have just bought TT3 BT, I installed and fired it up and seemed to get a good GPS signal, I calc'd a route and set off to find TT locking every 10 mins or so, it doesn't appear to be the BT link as GPS info is still updating, sometimes it comes back after a minute or so other times the only resolution is to kill it with a soft reset. After reading many posts I'm coming to the conclusion it's not the BT link but the SD card which is a, gulp, Sandisk branded 128mb no AK0401RD made in China, would this seem to be a reasonable assumption?

I've installed deleted and re-installed numerous times but still get the same problem,

I'm due to get an Expansys branded 256Mb card (already ordered) is this any good?

Anyone else find the install flakey? I have to try several times to do a clean install. I also tried going to 3.02GPS and going back to 2.07? Both with the same problem when I fire up TT it shows GPS disabled at the bottom?

Finally when setting up should I say yes or no to the serial bluetooth question if I want to use my Jabra BT headset simultaneously?

Thanks for the answers!!

Could well be your dreaded Sandisk! Having said that I used a 128mb Sandisk no.AK0312RD (China) with TTN2 and have no problems. I put TTN3 on a 256mb Sandisk card AR0308NC (China) and it was diabolically slow (this card is a later version and supposed to be better)! I changed to a Lexar 32X 256mb card and the difference was astounding. So this Sandisk card issue is not black or white issue, in fact it's quite grey!

best i can think of is to format the sd card then reinstall the maps delete the bt bond to the gps the rebond when you are asked to create a serial port selelct no
in the gps settings the second line sholud say bt gps its the last one on the list

I've had problems with slow cards, or cards that deteriote over time.
Integral & mitek media both seem to fail over a few weeks, but work fine in my digicam?

Just bought some PNY 512 cards from DABS,. they are fast.

Pocket mechanic results
vendor size speed KBS
integral 256 180
mitek 256 200
lexar 256 600
sandisk 256 600
Panasonic 512 1200
PNY 512 800

the panasonic cost about 30% more!!

I also have similar problems to couchpotato.
When i start tt3 it fires up ok but the gps is disabled. it then takes 3mins or so before the bluetooth (clipon) will bond. once its bonded tt3 still says its disabled so i tap the screen and select gps.The gps software starts, shows me the signals etc, then if i tap the screen again hey presto tt3 is navigating. (sometimes it just closes tt3 and i have to start all over again Crying or Very sad )

any ideas ?

XDA2, TT3 ttgps3.0, BTtools, 256 integral SD card, navman BT clipon

You can't generalise about Integral SD cards - they could be any manufacturer from Sandisk (in my opinion the worst) to Panasonic (in my opinion the best).

My 512MB Panasonic made SD card is Integral branded.
