When I go into the GPS info screen that shows the date my 2610 is showing March 7th 2022. The date never changes even when the satellites are aquired.. Any ideas??

Hi Drain69,
I like Garmin products, I have an old 12XL, and I also like their website as it contains manuals for all of their products. If only all manufactures did this! By the way the PDF manual can be found here.
On page 52 of the online manual it states: Daylight Savings can be turned On, Off or set to Automatic. Time, Date, Sunrise, Sunset – determined by satellite information being received; these settings can’t be changed.
However on page 59, it states that if the date is incorrect then the unit may not know the current position of the satellites, possibly because the unit hasn’t been used for a few months.
I’d suggest that you install new batteries, set the Daylight Savings to Automatic, and leave the unit switched on, with a clear view of the sky. Hopefully it will soon lock onto the satellites and the date will be correct. If it doesn’t then you may need to contact Garmin. Their customer service is excellent – certainly in the UK.
BTW could you please update your profile with your location (Country) as it does help us to answer your question.
