Hi all, A work mate has been using his TT One IQ straight out of the box without connecting it to a PC for the last two years. The other day it just crashed on him and then come up with the settings screens ( Language, Right or Left, Miles, Type of time display ) then the time setting screen, The time is exactley one hour behind. So the RTC is still working. If the time is adjusted then press Done or Done is just on it's own it goes away for about 30 secs or so then reboots.
I have done a windows copy and then did a clear flash, check disk and a format, putting all the files and folders back. No go. I updated the navcore from 8.415 to 9.053 using Home. Still no go. Crashes in the same place. I had a look at my files too compere but as I have an XL IQ Live I can't see if there are any files missing.

His maps are 825.2157 UK / Ireland and did a mapshare which added lots of them.

Anyone know what screen goes after the clock setting? As it seems to go away looking for something and when it can't find it, then the crash back to the first setting screen.

Delete the MapSettings.cfg file from the UK&ROI folder, the device will create a new one when it next starts up.

If this fails we will need to try removing the map share files from the device, I have only ever known map share POI files to have caused rebooting/ crashing on a Go-x40 from a while ago but it might be worth trying on this unit if deleting the MapSettings.cfg doesn't fix it - Mike

Thanks for your help Mike.
I deleted the MapSettings.cfg file and it still wont get any further than the clock setting screen. The time is an hour out but it is adjustable, but after the crash it goes back to be an hour out. From this screen should it boot up to the map screen ? As for the map share files it was never connected to a PC so there wasn't any change to the map untill I did a Home update. Thanks again.
