|
|
My HTC Hero worked perfectly with my Ford Bluetooth stereo in that I could play my Ipod through the AUX and I opted to not use the media audio so my phone gave me warnings via the handset.
The Hero used various custom 2.2 ROMS.
However I have just got a HTC Desire which is the stock 2.2. It piars no problem with my car but it tries to push all the media, and hence the navigator and voice commands, to my stereo so I can't hear them as I am listening to my Ipod .
|I have gone into the Ford Audio Bluetooth settigs on the phone and unticked the "use of media button" lots of times but this is driving me a little mad.
Has anyone any solutions as I know it can be done. |

Ford Audio Bluetooth settings on your phone? You lost me at the second word. How does your phone know (or care) that there is a Ford at the other end?
On the phone, in Settings...Wireless...Bluetooth Settings you should see the linked devices. Tap and hold on the line representing the car audio system, and then in the popup select Options, and then finally uncheck the "Connect to media audio" box. This will make all media sounds come out of the phone, not the car audio. (phone calls will continue to be routed through the car audio) _________________ Lutz

That is what I meant. My bluetooth device on my phone is called "Ford Audio" and I do exactly what you say an uncheck the media audio tick but it keeps ticking the box and sending the voice commands to bluetooth and not out via the phone. |

Which windmill wings do you want to fight? HTC or Google? Or maybe it's time for a custom ROM? _________________ Lutz

At the moment I am running HTC but I want to keep it stock as long as possible as I was always changing the ROMS on my Hero.
Surely it should be possible on a stock Desire. |
