TomTom have finally implemented the use of 3rd party POIs on the GO 1000. However, their method entails installing the files one at a time. Since I use speed zoned files, I have 30 UK files and 50 Eur files to install at each update. Is their any way to tell if the individual files have changed since the last update so that I can just install the changed files. |

not without opening each and comparing with the last release. by the time you've done that though you may as well have uploaded them all.
feel free to complain to TomTom about their terribly thought out implementation for 3rd party POIs...

That's crazy, it's annoying enough having to reconfigure the camera poi if a new map breaks them but having to go through this rigmarol every couple of weeks is a deal-breaker as far as I'm concerned!! |

Although it's clearly not a very good implementation of POIs, do you really have to update all of these each week?
How often do you drive in Europe? Surely you only need to look at these immediately prior to a trip abroad? _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Pont taken. However, there are still 30 UK files that I would like to keep up to date. Also, even if I update the Europe files only as and when required, there are still be 50 files to update one by one
Would it not be possible to include, in the zip archive, a text file, listing the filenames and the date they last changed? |
