I have only had my 1695 about one month and I have just about sorted out all I need to know about POIs and favorites - after much help from members of this forum
Whilst on holiday in Florida I have found that my earlier car journeys, made whilst the sat nav was on, are shown on the screen as a series of blue dots.
Can anyone explain more about this record, how I (if I can) control the storage of this recording, whether the record can be transferred to the computer and if I can view the the record on the computer?
I hope I am not asking too much. It so easy to assume that an answer will be forthcoming. _________________ David

I can only speak for my nuvi255.
The tracklog recording is automatic (although the screen display of it can be turned on and off).
The data is held in Current.gpx, within the Garmin/GPX folder on the device.
I can import it into MemoryMap or Mapsource, and view each separate journey on the PC.
Clever people will be able to view it in Google Earth, I expect.

Thanks for the info.
I found a program called g7towin which will read the program current.gpx but i had not found anyway to display the routes.
I will investigate the programs you have suggested. _________________ David

Yes, the .gpx file loads up easily in Google Earth. Simply select Files of Type...All Files in the drop-down list.
