|
|
Hi,
When using TT3 I have noticed, when in Navigator view, the Indicators (Time to Dest, Dist to dest and arrival time) have disappeared when the map is showing. As soon as the safety screen appears they come up as well.
As far as I can remember those indicators were on the view with TT2. Have I gone mad, or have they changed the view so that they can't appear unless on the safety screen?

No, they should be there assuming you have entered a destination. What do you see in the area where they would normally be? I ask because whilst you can customise what information you see here I'm not aware of a way of removing them completely. _________________ Darren Griffin |

What I get is the following:
along the bottom of the screen: Next instruction i.e. a picture of the next roundabout
Distance to next instruction (speed underneath) and then number of satelites.
No other info |

Oh, I forgot, on the left hand side is a bar that shows how far to the destination is left, with traffic incidents on it

Hi Andy,
Ah, sounds like you’re using TTT (TomTom Traffic). Unfortunately due to the small screen size of the PDA, TTT can either display the bar on the left hand side with traffic incidents, or it can display the “normal view”.
You have to manually switch between the two views by tapping the screen in Navigator mode and then the “More” button and then the “Hide Route Scheme” or “Show Route Scheme” button.

That sounds like the answer!! Not the one I wanted, but I spose setting the safety screen to 35mph would also help. Basically I only need the summary stuff when the wife and kids say "are we nearly there yet?".
The map is most useful around town, once you get above 35mph the summary is more useful.
Oh well, some things we have to live with

I have a hardware button set to toggle the route scheme on and off - that's the best compromise I can come up with.
