|

I followed Mikealder's excellent photo instructions and changed the battery in my Go 730 without any problem, BUT the unit will now not connect to my Nokia 2630 using Bluetooth. Equally, the phone won't see the TomTom either. I've done a "reset to factory defaults" and then tediously set up all the PocketGPS POIs again, the satnav side of things works fine. Any ideas? The unit tells me that Bluetooth is enabled, but it now can't see the phone. I've taken the unit apart again and as far as I can see looking at it under a magnifying glass, there's no damage to components or tracking on the pcb.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

Have you tried a pin rest on the 730 and a phone reset as well? _________________ David |

This is the second time I have seen someone post details about a lack of Bluetooth following a battery change, last time it was PCB damage that caused it, try the restore to factory defaults in the menu but after that I think it might be damaged - Mike |

Mike, I have done that already, so if you're out of ideas I don't think there's much hope. Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time to change the battery, now I'm not so sure.

Maybe re-download the system stuff from TT?
I forget how it's done, something like take an Explorer backup first, then delete the loose files, but no folders, then connect to Home and let it reinstall. WAIT FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO CONFIRM THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE (I've never done it myself, just memory of others being told how). _________________ Dennis

Yep, that's how it's done, Dennis. _________________ David |
