My old man has just gone against all of my advice & bought a Garmin!
I sometimes wonder if I'm talking to a brick wall. |

Surely there was some hint as to his brightness before you married him? Go get a divorce on grounds of his insanity. _________________ Dennis

At least they won't have to ask you how to clear a route. Or have you reload the application. Or wonder why they can't navigate back to their car in the park. Or. . .
Perhaps I should quit now. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

dennis, you crack me up. sadly i think this was a genuine error and not some attempt at humour...
where i come from (which is near where you once came from) 'old man' means 'dad' or 'father' and not 'husband'... not sure how easy it is to get you suggested divorce from your own dad...

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT!
He's bought a 3760! You'd have thought he'd have taken it on board what trouble I had with the blasted 3790t! I wanna strangle the silly old fool!
Right... He wants the cameras on it! How do I put them on his 3760 please?
PS... Don't worry he can't re-distribute them he hasn't got a PC! He's scared of computers! |

Right, so you're not married to him, you're his offspring!
You ungrateful, miserable person - this is the man who brought you into this world, gave you sweets and stuff and now you turn your back on him and berate him in public.
You owe your very existence to him. It's payback time. Get back there and do your absolute top best for him AND BLOODY WELL SMILE WHILST DOING IT!!!
I had a Garmin once (for 48 hours before I took the rotten thing back) and managed to download and install the cameras, dead easy - all you have to do is RTFM. _________________ Dennis

Dennis. If you had to put up with my old man and....
You were T-Total, you'd be back on the grog within minutes!
You were feeling suicidal, you'd drive to Beachy Head & jump, he'd even make one of the Samaritans want to slit their wrists. |

Getting the cameras on a 3790 - with mine, since the software upgrade, you have to choose the 'advanced' option in POI loader and tell it explicitly where to put them. While you're finding where that is (\POI folder), take out the Garmin Cyclops files too. _________________ J D Gwinnell

That's what I like to hear - I'm somebody's old man myself and the thought I drive her to that state is very comforting. It's taken me a long time to get there! _________________ Dennis
