I,m new to the GPS game so a little advice would be nice.
I have a Garmin e-trex Vista and would like to connect it to my HP iPAQ h5550 and use it to navigate in my car. So what do I need to buy?
1) Cables - from the GPS, to the PDA and if I want it to be powered from the car which combi lead do I buy.
2) Car mount for the PDA and GPS
3) Mapping software - (Tom Tom sounds good)
By the way I in the UK !!!
Many thanks |

1) Check this article
2) Depends on if you want powered or non powered. Check out these mounts for a selection.
3) TomTom is good, but so is CoPilot, it all depends if you want European maps or just a country map. |

Dave,
Thanks for the pointers, I found the articles very useful, however on visiting the PC-Mobile site I am unable to find the appropriate PDA end cable. My Ipaq 5550 does not seam to be listed only earlier versions, do you know if they make one for mine or if any of the earlier version are compatible. |
