|
|
Hi folks.
I run a TTG 720 and have found that with the latest map release, coupled with the many POI's and voices etc, there's not enough room for everything on the internal hard drive.
Now, though I have many many POI's, I only select those that I need for a specific journey, so keeping them all 'available' is important.
I only have one additional voice (John Cleese), but have deleted numerous items such as all the various 'car' icons and the like - despite this, still I have insufficient room to install the one voice I really do need - Katie - the computer voice.
On the original internal 2Gb hard drive, I have just 7Mb spare!
I have a 16Gb memory card installed with oodles of space - it contains a map of the USA and Canada and some music.
When I went to the USA & Canada, the map & device operated perfectly, so the 'speed' of the card is fine.
My question is this ....... can I move the data from the internal hard drive onto the memory card which will happily accomodate then size of data plus more besides and reatin confidence that the device will run from the memory card by default?
If so, is it a simple case of copy/paste or is it more complicated??
Kind regards

Well, I think that answers the basic question - so I can put the Western Europe map on the memory card and leave the rest alone?
Is it a case of cut and paste the folder Western Europe and that's it - or is there more too it?
Any help appreciated!

Just copy the Western_Europe folder to the PC and then to the SDHC card and it will be fine - Mike |

Job done. A couple of hard resets and reinstallation of Katie and all is well.
Many thanks for your assistance. Appreciated.
