|
|
I have been trying to install the cameras onto my carminet system.
Copying them to the card is no problem, into the Great Britain folder, but they do not show up in the POI's when I try to set the distance.
Would somebody who has already done this please let me know how.
Many thanks |

If you don't get an answer soon, my new Renault van arrives on 31st July and comes with a Carminat, so I'll be facing that problem myself on 1st August and will see what can be done. In the meantime, can't you Browse map and select Options to display POIs?
TomTom User Guide (BROWSE MAP, page 28, or maybe SYSTEM SETTINGS, page 32) seems to indicate you can? _________________ Dennis

I can browse the map, and the POI's, but the speed cams do not show up.
When I look under POI's they are in categories, ie Airports etc, but I can't find the speed cams under any heading or by themselves.
I assume I have put them in the correct place, Great Britain. |

Can you list exactly what files you have put into the Great Britain folder? |

SORTED.
I don't know why but I decided to start from scratch and this time it has worked. |

On the assumption that you did the reinstallation in exactly the same way as for all TomTom devices, I shall not grumble that you did not post the solution for other peoples' benefit (including mine). _________________ Dennis

As far as I know, I did it according to the instructions both times, so I do not know why it did not work the first time. |

Set-up on my Carminat was practically identical to the set-up on my old 700, the only difference being that Carminat offered spoken (text to speech) warnings as well as sound effects. Choose any of the standard alert sounds, and it'll use the matching OGG file instead if it can find one. _________________ TomTom GO700
