Full details
9.053.520930.2, OS 515773 (1023, 19/4/2010)
Available here
It seems to have the Nav9 battery status bug - it never reaches fully charged and also runs down very quickly ............ |

Probably explains why my LIVE services have suddenly packed in after working fine for a couple of hours - I thought it was the new Navcore (wouldn't surprise me if it was).
I was about to reload and run a clearflash or two but I will hang fire for a while.
Could also be an indication the maps are on the way - the servers normally go offline just before the maps are released. |

Andy, how much space have you got left on your device? I had to clear a bit to make room for the update! I only had about 20mb left. |

About 170Mb after the update.
Go into your Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB folder on your device and delete all of the files that begin with cspeech - you don't need them as the device doesn't support ASR so it is anyones guess as to why HOME insists on installing them at every map update.
You should have plenty of room then.
HOME is logging in fine for me at the moment and offering Fuel Prices, but LIVE seems a bit hit and miss with the new Navcore - can't get weather for example but Google is fine and so is HD Traffic (for now) - earlier on all LIVE services just stopped. |

And now weather is working for the first time since I updated the Navcore and I haven't done a thing to the device.
Go figure - I hope this isn't the sign of things to come with the new Navcore and is a LIVE server issue ......... |

If HOME puts them back on after the next map update then delete them again - you don't need them, only the GO devices with a microphone and Speech recognition (ASR) need the cspeech files, but TT don't seem to have noticed that and stick them on devices that don't need them.
The slightly larger and more detailed Western and Central Europe map will fit on the 2GB XL's and ONE's without the cspeech files installed, but TT seem to have not noticed that either and sell them with the slightly less detailed 2GB maps that the 5x0 and 7x0 GOs have with the cspeech files. Only the 9x0 GOs have the full size map as standard. |

Am I right in thinking this is the first public release of v9 software for the XL LIVE? (I know the non-Live XL has had it for some time....) |

There seems to be a slight change to the tomtom sped camera alerts.
You used to be able to set a single alert for all the typre but now you have to set them all up individually. |

Or alternatively you now have to turn them off individually |
