|

Hi all,
Just a quick question,
I've just got a memory card for my Go 520 (wanted to update my map but not enough internal memory).
Once I have the new map on the memory card, can I then just deleted all the info off the internal memory? Guess I can just access it via My Computer and hit delete?
Cheers |

You CAN copy everything from internal to the card and the unit will boot up to the card and use the map found on it.
Or, you can just put the map folder on the card, leave everything else on internal and things will work just fine.
Make sure your card is an SDHC, not just a SD card. _________________ David |

Thanks dhn,
Should have explained that I have a SDHC card and that I'd all ready copied everything from the internal to the memory card. I seems to be working fine but did'nt know if it was a problem if one version of the map was on the internal memory and then a different version is on the card |

From personal experience I would move everything to the card IF it is a fast card (Class 6 SDHC). Otherwise leave as much as possible on the internal memory. With slow SDHC cards the x20 will run like a dog if you put the application and voices on the card.
Edit - you beat me to it with your reply - you can delete everything off of the internal memory if you want then but only if you have a fast card. If not, just have your new maps on the card. |
