Hi
Please bear with me as I'm new to the forum and not sure of my way round yet.
Can anyone give me some advice please, recently had to reinstall my IGo8 software from a backup I took. Unfortunately, the system now tells me that the Lang Files can not be found.

None of the files are hidden so everything should have copied over from your SD Card to your HD.
Check your backup file to see if you can see languages in iGO8/Content/Lang.
Are you using the original SD Card? Because iGO is locked to that card only. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Strange, as igo reinstall is typically:
uninstall from the unit (files on the card remaining untouched);
installing by device reset (then, iGo reinstalls from 2577 folder on the card, where autostart is located).
Your language files should remain untouched then, as the rest of the software.
Btw: this "reinstallation" is not removing all the mess caused by e.g wrong branding.zip or data.zip experiments, as all the settings are stored in \save foler, and are surviving the reinstallation.
I'm not completely sure what are you looking for (the igo lang files, the speedcam alerts for the skin or the TTS voices), but the website with the iGo modifications (skins, poi icons, cars etc), contains some Language files, look at: http://www.i-go8.com/2008/09/igo-language-pack-v10-sept-10-2008-53.html
