|
|
Hi,
I am a total dinosaur when it comes to new technology, so I'd appreciate some advice from the experts please.
I've got a 2010 Nissan Navara on order and it will have Nissan's latest Premium Connect SatNav/audio/camera system fitted.
My query is...........can the PocketGPSWorld.com UK Speed Camera Database be loaded and regularly updated into the vehicles SatNav system
I assure you that I would need a reply in VERY simplistic terms
Thank you. |

Assuming that is, that your Nissan uses the Connect Nav System?
We can only guide you based on the install methods dictated by Nissan. Can't make it any easier than it is so if you aren't comfortable with simple file copy type operations and the use of a USB Memory Stick you may not consider this easy. _________________ Darren Griffin |

This is interesting. I have just collected a Navara V6 with the all singing sat nav system. Whilst playing with the system, I can see that the system already has safety camera warnings.
However, my questions relate not only to the Pocket GPS database but also other POI's. I also own a motorhome fitted with a Kenwood system. I have loaded the Kenwood with all manner of POI's including the location of Caravan Club sites. The data files were created using the Garmin POI loader software.
Keeping my fingers crossed here. Do you think my Navara system will accept files created using the Garmin POI loader software?
Many Thanks |

Did you ever succeed in getting custom POI's loaded into the Premium Connect?
Totally different system to the ordinary Connect - I have been unsuccesful, local dealer says that they think it is not possible and Nissan Customer Services do not know!!
