Hi
I have just purchased a Navman/Mio M400, inc mains plug and case, from themselves for €89 p&p €5.99 shipped to the UK. I do not like Spirit mapping, so I went for this budget unit.
Has anyone successfully loaded MioMore Desktop software onto Windows 7 platform? I am finding a negative response to this issue. Navman said that its software was developed before Windows 7 and it is not supported.
Any help please?

Sounds like a repeat of Mio, when they chose not to support Vista with the required drivers for their PNA hardware |

IT should work okay, as the drivers are the same for windows 7 as xp.vista. although 64-bit not all the functions work and navman.mio have never produced 64 bit software |

Hi
I tried to install the disc no joy. Connect the pnd via usb, windows wants to automatically fix errors on the unit. Phoned Navman UK tech support, I was told that it did not support Windows 7 and do not fix problems automatically using Windows 7, but use a computer that has XP. I do not have such a PC? Only a laptop running Windows 7. As I have registered the M450, there is an upgrade available free, but time is running out?
Regards.

Hi
I have got the Mio desktop to work on my laptop running Windows 7. I installed it via a Windows tool which allows older version software to be installed. Don’t ask why and how, as I have tried loads of combinations I lost count of how?
I rang Navman yesterday as I could not connect to their server. I was told to do the following.
Refresh keys via software with GPS attached, the remove it. Turn GPS off until today?
Do not connect GPS up to PC for at least a week. When attached I should get a message telling me a free map update is available?
Why turn it off until today?
Why can’t I connect it to a PC for a week?
These questions I did not ask at the time and I do not understand this logic.

I had no problem installing on a 32-Bit Windows 7 laptop.
64-bit could have been an issue, but they've just released software for Windows 7 today |
