|
|
I can confirm for new users or interested users that the PGPS camera database works great with the Kenwood DNX 5240BT unit using the Garmin POI loader software from the Garmin site. Instructions for loading are on this site and work well.
My question is once installed, how do I switch on and off the camera database as I dont need it when local and it is a little invasive over the stereos other functions. The camera database does not appear in the poi list on the unit and I have only found the one option which is to delete custom poi's.
Can anyone help or advise? Garmin and Kenwood have remained silent in response to my requests for help!! |

I have the 7240 and I do have the option to enable and disable custom POI.
It was in the latest firmware update from Kenwood.
(have you checked for firmware updates?)
I am surprised that you have hit a brickwall with their tech Support, as I have found them to be very good, and responded to most of my emails the same day, or at worst the following day |
