TT950 Freezing

I’ve had my TT950 since the new year, replacing a 920T which died. I also bought a half price 12 month live subscription at the same time.

I’ve been using it for my commute between Milton Keynes and Abingdon. Apart from one problem where I lost the live service which was fixed by a return to factory, the device has been pretty reliable – just two unscheduled reboots and the usual problems with the HD traffic server.

However, last week I took my family on the annual pilgrimage to Centre Parcs – this time in Holland. We drove via Brugge and on the way there the device was fine – HD traffic in particular was accurate. On the way home though 20 mins into the return journey the unit froze. A soft reset got it going again only for this to be repeated again several times during the journey home. Since getting home it’s been fine again. The only thing I noticed was that after the first freeze the HD traffic service had stopped working.

Has anybody else seen any similar behaviour? Despite the 920 dying it was at least reliable in operation. If I can’t rely on it then there isn’t much point in having it....

Hi, I can certainly sympathise, there seems to be a lot of this happening on the x50 models.
