Having just got a new set of maps on my 520 it seems that niceties such as recent destinations, favourites, and ???? I"m guessing speedcams ????, need to be located on the same card, as they were all blank, but reappear when I switch back to the original map on the internal memory.
Is there a tutorial on which files from internal to copy to the SD card? Or does it not work like that?
Also, seen a recent message here about postcode files, would my new WE map, fresh off the TT website, come with the latest postcodes? And what about my old GB Maps? Should I copy the new postcodes to the internal memory as well?

Postcode files are not routinely included with new Maps. You can download the latest version from Here. The new GB Postcodes will work with the older Map.
The file that holds the data for recent destinations, warnings, etc. is MapSettings.cfg which is in each Map Folder. You could try copying the file from the Internal Memory to the Map on the Card, but if the older Map is much older than the new, it may not work.
Do a Search for mapsettings, and there are a lot of threads that cover this.
The first place to look for TT FAQs is Here. _________________ Richard
