I have got a ES768 single din in car dvd/gps/dvb-t unit from Erisin in hong kong.
it is running Win CE,the satnav software on it is a version of igo8.
the update website is navieextras.com but there isn't anything that can be downloaded.
I have contacted Erisin who say the satnav software can't be updated, they sugested installing SYGIC satnav software, but I can't find a version for in car units, probably pda version would do but I can't find that either on the SYGIC website,so I thought of this site.
can anyone help with this, maybe tomtom7 would be a better option if it is compatable.

There is if you have a legal, registered version

I don't think you can get this on an SD card any more
iGO has a lot going for it once you have mastered it. It has quite a few features that the others don't especially if you need the 'Itinnery' feature. Pretty much unlimited way points and route optimisation/ It has no HD traffic, but there is a lot of arguments about the worth of this in TT anyway.
Am I wasting my time in telling you how to add speedcsms and skins in your other post
again sorry to be a pain, you are not wasting your time helping me
it is apreciated very much, the igo8 came installed in the ES768,
I presume its legal, and I couldn't find anything to download as I said.
the reason I was thinking of tomtom navigator7 was because I am used to
tomtom, but I am sorting 3 units out, and am trying 3 diferent systems
to get a feel for them,
thanks, and again....you are not wasting your time.
PS. just noticed I mentioned Sygic in my prevous post, sorry about that
I was just thinking out loud about what to do IF i CAN'T get igo8
updated, still need your help.
cheers.

Don't assume There are a LOT of Chinese nav units that use pirated versions of iGO. 'Erirsin' as a manufacturer doesn't show up in the list of supported manufacturers on their NaviExtras site ( https://www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/device ) - while this itself is inconclusive it may be worth contacting them directly to see if they support your unit. If it DOES turn out to be a dodgy copy then maybe they will furnish you with a legit version for helping them crack down on possible pirates?
