Well, I keep clicking on the 'Download Here' by the black camera without any joy ? (Nowhere can I see that it says 'download a different database format.') |

Click the arrow for a dropdown list.

As quite a lot of people seem to miss the dropdown, perhaps it would be better to put it above the 'Download same format' button, so that the user 'bumps into it' first |

IMHO it's the layout - even on my monster monitor, I only see the "Download same format" button and I have to scroll down to see the "Select from below" clicking thing - I know it's there, but I'm "the converted", the problem is for "the unconverted".
The "Download Same" button was introduced at members' requests. Now it looks like we should do away with it at members' requests!!! I blame MaFt - it's all down to no caps key on his iThingy! _________________ Dennis

That system still confuses me!
Hence why I always get mine by direct link now.
Only for advanced users, but Frequent Flyer, these are the ones you require for your USA trip, in speed zones. Will save you hunting for the download again.

On my ordinary 1040x768 screen and monitor I don't see either of them without scrolling down, which is probably better.
Some of the old formats of that page were a bit confusing, but since it has been tweaked a few times I must admit even *I* can't find fault with it!
I just can't see why some people still get stuck on the "download same format" bit, but they obviously do.... |

Then again, maybe Paull has the answer....
If you click on the on THIS page, it does something.
But if you click on the same thing on the download page it doesn't.
Maybe the "Download Here" text is the confusing thing (that's what 'FrequentFlyer' was clicking on), so you need a blank logo without the text on that page.
Also: Maybe the "Continue" button could be relabelled as "Download" to make it more obvious? |

Would this altered image help? The arrow should remove any confusion:
I can ask MaFt to change the code to refer to the amended version if it's a solution. _________________ Darren Griffin |

For something so blindingly obvious to most people, it's causing quite a lengthly discussion on how it could be improved |

This is the first time the icon has been raised as an issue as far as I am aware. And as I have said, the 99% if people who download without confusion have no need to post saying so! _________________ Darren Griffin |

I think the arrow should help reduce that 1% down just a little further! |
