A few weeks ago I bought a 12month pre-paid subscription for LIVE Services.
After accepting the code TTHome then proceeded to check for any updates. It found the usual GPSFix, SafetyCams, Fuel Prices etc... and so I clicked the button to download all and update my device.
However part way through downloading the SafetyCams TTHome reported a fault with the server and just installed what had just downloaded.
Since then any updates to my TT940 only gives me MapShare and GPSFix. No safety Cams, Fuel Prices etc....
Is there a way to kick start these downloading again?? _________________ TT GO 1005 |

I've not tried this with the Safety cameras, but I have with other downloads via Home, like GPSQuickfix and Petrol prices.
The usual way to kickstart things when Home refuses to download stuff it is to delete the contents of the relevant folders on the PC and also on the unit itself, then try another download.
For example, if GPSQuickfix fails, you delete the contents of the folder called "ephemeris" on the PC (normally the path is C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\ephemeris) and then the contents of the "ephem" folder on the TomTom itself. (Only delete the contents of the folders, leave the folders themselves alone).
So to try the same thing for the safety cameras, I'd try deleting the entire contents of the "safetycamera" folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Andy\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\safetycamera) and also the specific .ov2 and .dct files for the cameras in the named map folder ("Western Europe" or whatever yours is called) and the .tlv files for cameras in the "poi" folder.
The 'Premium' camera files are all called "Safety_Cam_UK_Premium" (.ov2 .dct and .tlv) "Safety_Cam_FR_Premium" etc.
The ordinary camera files have names like "Blitzer_AT", "Fartkamera_SE", "Radar_BE" and several others but they are all pretty easy to spot.
Once you've deleted everything, try another download.
As always - BACK UP YOUR SYSTEM (both TomTom and PC) before deleting anything. |

Thanks for the replies.
I went down the route of deleting files from both the computer and the device but it still refused to update any other cameras.
So I decided to re-install TTHome and this has now cleared the problem.
Must have been some glitch when it had previously failed downloading part way through an update. _________________ TT GO 1005 |
