I just got a dashboard mount with the ipod connections on the back,will the ipod work when connected to the 750 and my radio via the tomtom ipod connector leads |

The x50 range don't have the iPOD player capability in the software (well my 950 Live doesn't) if you select Media from the menu all it offers is the Document reader and Picture viewer, it was the x40 range that offered the iPOD control - Mike |

I think the only way TomTom will ever put back the mp3 player or iPOD support is if enough users complain or vote with their wallet and purchase products with this capability from their competitors. I very much doubt this will be added to the x50 range as an "upgrade" though to be honest.
I suspect the x40 range coupled with the latest Navcore software was really starting to run very close to its limit in terms of processor resource, dropping these "add ons" with the introduction of the x50 range has taken the heat off hardware development letting them keep the same processor/ memory combination for at least another 9 months - Mike |
