|
|
My Active 10 Plus came with all the power options except the car charger. I note that if you buy the power bundle from Satmap or from E-Bay that there is a car charger.
Question: can I simply buy a universal USB car charger (couple of quid from E-Bay) or do I need some special Satmap widget? |

Yes you can. As long as it fits your cig lighter socket and has a USB cable (with the small USB end to fit the Satmap) |

I do feel it's a bit off for Satmap to leave out the car charger from the Plus power pack bundle - its another £10 from them, on top of an already hefty premium. |

Yes I quite agree it should come with the bundle as there will be £5 postage on top of the £10 cost.
£15 is a bit steep for a cigarette lighter plug.

Strange...mine set came with one, but it was one of the very first issues...perhaps they've had a rethink....worth a quick call I think. |

Many thanks. I'll get one from E-bay I think!

Whilst cleaning the car today I found the Satmap car charger, must have put it there when I got the separate power bundle,so yes it certainly used to come with one.
I think I bought the bundle about nine months ago.
You would think the Plus should come with one.I would check with Satmap.

If you look in their 'shop', it's still shown as part of the package. |

The OP is talking about the 'Plus' bundle, which specifically does not have the car charger included, whereas it is included in the separate Power Bundle. |
