any one heard of this--
In the [Practical Caravan - pp 54] this month there is a write up about a new sat nav..
The Snooper Ventura
This one designed for and is caravan specific.
--" Ventura allows you to input the length, width and weight of your vehicle and will then only calculate routes that are practical and safe, avoiding low bridges and narrow roads plus, where possible roads that are unsuitable for larger vehicles. "
now if this is the case then it is -- for me a good bit of kit..
as it covers with full mapping with 8600 campsites across 29 countries across Europe

Haven't tried it but I have tried other Snooper nav software and it was very poor.
Have you looked at TomTom's GO 7000 TRUCK which offers the same feature set?

mapfactor i think do a pnd for truck that could be worth a look not sure of the prices though

TomTom TRUCK covered here.
It is available to private users and has all the features you'd require. I'm surprised TT haven't seen caravanners as an obvious market.
