I think what you mean to say is that
Google says there is a web page describing a ficticious Leadtek 9537 product.
However, if you pick up the phone and call the guys at that link
then they tell you that they do not have any...
(they are one of the 17 suppliers that were phoned)

I see... What makes you want this particular product so badly? _________________ Lutz

Yes it does exist. I have one that I placed into my car tonight. I finally got Destinator3 and in Australia you can buy it separately or in a bundle with the destinator product. I'll be playing with it in the near future. Not sure where you are but for the record for any aussies reading this Riverside Technologies here in Australia distribute it. (just head over to
riversidetechnologies.com.au). The prices on the web site are really out of date though. |

Well now you are changing the subject
so perhaps we should start a new "topic"
but to answer your question
it has a good and appropriate spec
it has a good pedigree
(they make more than any one else by a long way
and every even badges theirs...)
and above all its volume is smalles at only 67.230
which is better even than the BT-48 (71.442) |

I'm pretty sure that the TomTom Bluetooth GPS has Leadtek innards. There has been some talk of TomTom moving to version 2 Bluetooth GPS hardware because of a higher than expected failure rate of the original hardware (the majority of people on the forums reporting a failed Bluetooth GPS are reporting a failed TomTom Bluetooth unit). I haven't heard any comments on the provenance of the version 2 hardware.
More than that, I can't comment - but I think these comments are potentially germane to anyone trying to make a buying decision.

I'm not saying anything - just repeating information that has been posted elsewhere in the forums.
There are a lot of good Bluetooth GPSes - if I was buying one it wouldn't be a Leadtek / TomTom unit. However, I'm not you - you must make your own decision.

fcaeiro,
yes I am in europe, but a long long way away from you.
It is interesting that in all this time you are the first to "sort of" offer one.
I still feel that they are "not available" (to use a less emotive expression than "not exist").
Also there is ambiguity in my mind whether they are indentical to the tomtom variant,
as apposed to just both being manufactured by the same company.
Are they abolutely identical?
Are the tomtom variants badged identically to the OEM source product?
including approval IDs etc?

I recently purchased a Delorme Earthmate Blue Logger. The case design and model number (on the internal tag under the battery, LR9537) lead me to believe this is a Leadtek Bluetooth 9537 with autonomous data logging capability (50,000 data points). |
