The Compass icon on my TT1 V3 points to the West when heading East and vice versa.
North / South is ok.
Anyone else have this problem and anyone know a cure.
I only noticed a couple of months ago and assumed it would be ok on next map update but it is still wrong.

This topic has been taised several times in the past.
If you do a Search for West when heading East and check the option for Search for all terms then 13 results are returned.
Have a look through these. It will save me having to type the explaination again. _________________ Richard

Ermmm, So it is always pointing to the North no matter which direction you are travelling in?
Now I understand and realise that it is neither use nor ornament.
Many thanks for your quick reply. |

But that is exactly what a compass should do, if you purchase a standard magnetic compass the device will faithfully replicate the direction so its working fine - Mike |

You are absolutly right.
It's just that I thought that it was to tell me which way I was heading.
I am sure that's how it used to work. Or is it my imagination. _________________ TT1 v3

Indeed pre update it used to point to one of three selectable items:
1/ North
2/ Heading
3/ Destination
Only item 1 is acting as a compass, the other two are directional pointers, not too sure why the options were dropped along with the size of the indicator but it only ever points North now although you have the option to turn it off all together if you don't want it on screen - Mike |

Ah, so it's not senility kicking in.
Many thanks for your explanation.
May I ask you another question? Maybe I should start another thread?
This really bugs me.
Whenever I update my cameras, the warning sound always reverts back to sound 1. I prefer sound 5 as it is louder and more attention grabbing so I have to go through every camera setting and change the sound back to 5. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening. _________________ TT1 v3

WOW!!!
I have just been looking at OGG files for the cameras. Thought I would have a go and hey presto, they are brilliant and I assume they will still be there after updates.
Very impressed, all worked fine without a hitch, have used Liz with loud siren, its just the ticket. Just hope Joanna and Liz don't start arguing.
Thanks for all your help. _________________ TT1 v3
