I used Audacity (freeware) to convert to wav.

See here for where to get sox.exe

Without sox.exe you will most likely get an error message and no result. You put it in your C/Garmin folder (or wherever you have put your POI loader).

The voice files go in the folder with all your POIs. Upload the whole lot at once with POI loader.

I can't guarantee this, as I'm about as clued up as you, and used the well known method of Trial & Error. But it worked in my case (as long as I haven't forgotten any steps). Worth a try while the gurus line up (I suggest you experiment with just one voice file first to see if it works)

In Audacity:

- File-Open the MP3 voice file;

- there will be a trace of the sound, with a box on the left which has the file name in it, and some info about the data (eg the rate in Hz); click on the file name;

- in the drop doen menu, set Sample Format to 32-bit Float, and Rate to 16000Hz;

- save (just in case) - I don't THINK it will overwrite the original MP3 file as its a different format, but use a slightly different file name, or a different folder, to be safe)

- export as WAV, say to a folder you've created to hold the WAV files;

- try it on the satnav;

- if it works, do the same with the other files. I think you can do a number at once, eg all those in a folder) but I'm not sure;

- if it doesn't work, keep checking this thread Embarassed !

Good Luck Smile
