I was wondering if there was any chance of adding a update date to the downloadable POIs.
I have about 100 POI categories (eg Tesco Fuel, Comet stores etc.) in various POI sub-categories (eg Accommodation, Transport etc.) and going through them all to find which ones have changed recently/since last download can be a chore.
Is there any way of adding a filter within the selection page at the start asking to show only those that have been updated since a specified date.
Maybe even better would be to have a parameter file somewhere that holds a list of one's POIs and then downloads the same selection; similar to offering the same download selection as one's last selection in the Speed Camera Database download.
Comments please. |

This way works for me using FireFox 3.5:
Open the POI Download page and expand the categories that you are interested in.
Hit Ctrl-F and a 'find' dialog opens at the foot of ypur Browser window. Type in for example '2009-09' without the quotes and click on 'Next'. This will take you to the first instance of an updated date on September 09, which will likely be the header of a category - Accommodation for example. Click 'Next' again and that will take the highlight the sub-category. Tick the box if it is of interest and then click 'Next' and so on. At the end of the list, just hit Download and there you are.
If you want to have the changes more accurate, just put a full date in the find box. You could put '2009-09-0#or '2009-09-1' or '2009-09-18', whatever you choose. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky.
