lockups with HP iPAQ 2210

Is it true that tomtom 3 lockup a HP iPAQ 2210 PDA? Thats terrible. Is there any fix?

It doesn't lock it up completely. The program becomes non responsive or certain controls don't work. Happened to me 3 times on a 100 mile trip usually approaching a junction I had to get off.

I've downgraded to the GPS 2.07 drivers which people say cures the problem but as yet I''ve not had time to test.
