|
|
I've got a 930 on its way and am trying to get off to a quick start with it as I'll be taking it to Canada at the end of the week.
I've been using TTN 5.41 since it came out and have been used to having to use Checkpoint to get announcements for Speed Camera POIs. Do I need to use it (or another app) to get this functionality with the 930?
TIA. _________________ Frank |

No, you don't need any extra software to get alerts with the 930. Full instructions can be found on this page
There is also a video here
You can also add improved icons from here and use Voice Alerts from here. Might be best to get the basic alerts sorted before you move onto the icons and voice alerts though... |

Make sure you do a backup first as per the FAQ here. Don't trust the TomTom Home backup system |

Thanks for the advice and links.
However, with the 930 only arriving tomorrow, and wanting to be able to set it up without delay, I'm a little stuck as to the version (8.35?) and, therefore, the correct downloads to choose.
Anyone able to help?

After making your Explorer backup, ensure the application is at the latest (8.351) level. Once done, the latest maps are at the 835 version for both North America and Western_Europe (or whatever one you get on a European 930). _________________ David |
