I have downloaded the database via poiloader to an SD card, when I put the card into the GPS module the GPS screen freezes.
Any Ideas? |

Have you put the Kenwood into NAV mode? |

I have tried putting the sd card in with the unit turned off and then switching on, this gives a garmin screen save with no interaction to sat nav menu at all.
If I switch the unit on and put the sd card in the nav screen operates as normal but there are no custom POI's showing and nothing on the sat nav map.
I have loaded the card via poiloader direct so if you look at the card it contains the following: garmin/poi/poi.gpi
Any Ideas? |

2 more things to try.
One try just having the poi.gpi file in a folder called garmin (i.e. no poi folder. Try it with a capital G if lower case G fails.
Kenwood and Garmin haven't been consistent across the range on how to load the database to these units.... |
