|
|
Hi all as stated in another thread I thought the problem had ben cured but apparently not.
Ok I downloaded the new tt home page 2.7 then updated my device, but now I have got very low volume even when on 100% you have a job to hear it in the car as before 70% was plenty.
I have tried reseting the device and also un ticking the box which relates to automatic volume thingy.
Any Ideas any one |

One option is roll back the Navcore application to a point prior to the lower volume issue, this will depend upon the map version you have got installed - Can you report back with the map version (Sat strength meter/ version box and the reultant screen will give you lots of information about the device, Navcore and Map name/ version number) - Mike |

You need to be using Navcore 8,3 or later due to your v815 mapping, earlier Navcores will fail to use the IQ-2 Routes data within your map. Any of the following will work:
8,300.9732
8,302
8,320.9901
8,350
8,351
Note the 8,320 will make your device hidden from the Home package as that wasn't a release intended for use on the standard x30 range, quite a few of us were running last Christmas to prevent the voice stammering.
For instructions on installing this to your unit see Here only use the links above in this post as the links provided in the instructions thread are for a different (earlier) Navcore |

have you tried 8.370 the volume is nice and load and runs very well on x 20 x30 x40 devices they seem to have corrected all the issues they had with eariler versions all in all a very good release
http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/8.370.go940.CAB-navcore-GO.cab
always do a full back up before you do anything else |

Don't put x40 software on the device it won't be much use as it will refuse to use the FM Transmitter and a number of other issues will result from loading software not intended for the device.
All the links I offered earlier are specific to the x30 range and will work fine with your device.
As for differences:
8,300 offers IQ Routes 2 and stammering voices
8,302 offers a slight improvement to the stammering voice issue
8,320 is the best option, but your device won't be seen by TT Home on the PC
8,350 some users reported poor GPS performance
8,351 the current software release

Just install the 8,351 version using the same method contained in the link then the device will be recognised OR re-install a backup of the device taken from a point prior to you installing 8,320 - Mike |

There are ways to install maps without the use of Home whatsoever; in fact, there are those who suggest Home never be part of a TT user's protocol! _________________ David |
