TomTom Live 740 TMC traffic

Hi i have jsut has mt free 3 months of my live connrction run out with TomTom could you tell me if i am still able to recivied the normal traffic updates (through the rds signal) as it is??? or do i need to order a std tmc unit and buy the new docking station with the tmc connection on it which also has the ipod control on it also..

Welcome to the forum, you can use the Mini USB style RDS-TMC receiver with the 740 combined with the existing car mount you got with the device.

If you want to use an RDS-TMC receiver with a round style plug on the cable then you will need the accessory dock for the x40 which offers Line Out, Power In and iPOD/ RDS-TMC sockets - Mike
