|
|
Since the last update, whenever I quit SatSYNC and try to restart it again later, I keep getting the following error message:
There is another session of SatSYNC already running on this computer or SatSYNC closed unexpectedly during a previous session. Press OK and close the other SatSYNC window or restart your computer to enable SatSYNC to work properly.
Obviously having to restart my computer each time I want to run SatSYNC is a no-no.
My OS is Windows XP.
Anyone else getting this?
UPDATE
OK, I decided to reinstall SatSYNC to see if it would fix the problem.
Good news - so far, so good!
Version 1.2.08 seems to be behaving itself now, so hopefully it was just a one-off thing.
Panic over for the moment, but if it breaks again I'll post some more. _________________ Satmap A10 software version 1.50 (Platform 0)

Sorry to report that v1.2.08 has broken again in the same way as described above.
Will give v1.2.12 a try.
Fingers crossed! _________________ Satmap A10 software version 1.50 (Platform 0)

Are you sure you're not missing the fact that when Satsync minimises it disappears to the notification area (right end of the taskbar on XP)?
You right-click on its tray icon then to either show the programme or exit from it.
I only ask because I did exactly the same thing with Satsync and restarted my computer a few times before I realised what was happening. |

Hi, H.
Yes, I'm sure.
This happens after I've actually quit the application, so the icon disappears from the taskbar and there's nothing showing in 'Windows Task Manager/Applications' either.
Very strange! _________________ Satmap A10 software version 1.50 (Platform 0)

This problem has now occured with v 1.212.
To reproduce (Windows XP):
1. Connect Satmap via USB and start SatSYNC
2. In an attempt to back up a .map file, drag it from SatSYNC onto the desktop or into another open folder in Windows.
3. SatSYNC converts the .map file into .gpx (expected behaviour?) as it copies across.
4. The copy/conversion is successful, but SatSYNC hangs and Windows Task Manager confirms that SatSYNC is not responding.
5. Close SatSYNC via Task Manager.
6. Subsequent attempts to start SatSYNC after this results in the error message described in post #1 above.
7. The only solution I can find at the moment is to reboot the computer, after which SatSYNC behaves normally again. _________________ Satmap A10 software version 1.50 (Platform 0)
