Found Excellent Vent mount

I found this from pocketgps advert - it is a magnetic vent mount which I use on my ipaq 2210 and it is excellent thanks pocketgps - great site

I just want to reiterate the usual caution with magnetic mounts. Do not use them if you're using a Microdrive or similar hard disk in your PDA - the magnet will probably ruin the hard disk.

Have just received this vent mount with the suction windscreen mount option for when I'm not in my usual car (don't want to risk breaking the vent fins removing it). I'm not too keen about sticking the magnet directly to my Axim X3; instead I've a DS aluminium case I no longer use as they have a tendency to rub a corner of the X3. I've removed the door and ground away the hinge to make a car holder much less bulky than those on sale (see http://www.notestation.com/aximx3.htm and imagine it without the door). With one of the supplied stick-on magnets stuck on the back it makes an ideal quick-release car mount and when I'm not using the GPS a magnet on the back of my phone holds it in place instead (the kit came with four magnets).
