|

Guys,
Can anyone (Mike, are you there? hellllllp) point me in the direction of an (ebay style) in-car power / charger cable for my Vodafone VPx?
So far I can only find items from mainstream suppliers which are ludicrously expensive. I thought a cable for an O2 XDA IIs (plentiful) would be the same, but I'm told it's not compatible and I must admit the plug at the device end does look different in pics. Maybe one of the universal ones would be ok but I'm not sure about voltages etc.
I could also do with a cable to plug into the AUX input on my car stereo to make the satnav voice commands louder if anyone has any ideas on that one.
Thanks guys
Leigh

The VPx is also known as a QTek 9090. Plenty of chargers on eBay if you search for the QTEK, e.g. this one.
If the QTEK/VPx only has a headphone out then you'd need a suitable cable with a 2.5mm plug on one end for the VPx and a matching plug for your Aux-In. Again fairly commeon see here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yo Darren
Thanx v much for that. One slight concern, afaik the VPx is also supposedly the same as the O2 XDA, but it looks like the input sockets are different. Do u know that a QTEK is the exact same unit? In the meantime I'll check it out and see how far I get
Thx

Ah hang on, my error there. The VPx is the same as a QTEX 9090 but there are many O2 XDA variants.
The O2 model that is the same is the O2 XDA IIs, see here.
Apologies for adding to the confusion! _________________ Darren Griffin |

For a car charger cable for your IIs have a look at This for the audio cable you need a 2,5MM jack plug to whatever is fitted to the Aux input on the Car Stereo, if you experiance interference on the audio that varies with the engine RPM fit a Ground Loop Issolater between the IIs and car deck - Mike |

Hi Darren
You didn't add to the confusion, that's what u said originally, what i meant was that I've been told by ebay shops that the XDA IIs cable is not compatible with the VPx. I think it should be but they say otherwise (maybe they don't know and are playin' safe). Anyway, I bought a charger & cable so all sorted. Thx v much for your input
