|
|
I've just updated my 720 to the latest App and WE maps ie v8.351 and v830.2305 respectively but have noticed very reduced sound. I have to set this around 100% now as against 50% previously.
Has anyone else had problems and if so are there any suggestions for a remedy? |

Under volume preferences, do you have the the selection for associating the volume to background noise unchecked? _________________ David |

Try UNchecking it.......see if the volume improves. _________________ David |

You'll find that a lot of people had reduced volume when they updated to version 8.350. TT then brought out a fix in version 8.351 which has improved things but it isn't up to the earlier levels. I use Tim and he used to be fine at 80% but now I have him at 95% at which he is just about acceptable. I think Computer voice Kate may be louder but I prefer Tim. _________________ TT Go Essential |

I have unchecked the box and have noticed an improvement in sound level. I am using computer voice Kate and the level is quite good at 80%.
Thank you both for your help. |

And so another of our purchased features - volume linked to road speed - bits the dust... _________________ Go Premium X / Go 1005 |

I've owned x00s, x10s, x20s and x30s and on all of mine, if I ticked the link to road speed, all it did was reduce the volume irrespective of road speed. _________________ Dennis

Speed-linked volume works fine on mine, and is useful. I do enough percentage in 30 - 40mph limits that having full volume at sub-motorway speeds just makes it too loud. It gets markedly louder above 50+ (I usually have it set at the default 70%).
Guess I'll have to stick with 3.02. _________________ Go Premium X / Go 1005 |
