There's no way the driver is going to hear the directions if they use the latest software in a car like that _________________ Paul |

So they are sponsoring a Scottish driver in an American motorsport with Italian descent, should prove interesting as that team have a very good past track record though as has the driver - Mike |

The Nascar cars are going to keep resetting every 10 minutes if they are using the latest firmware. |

No, this is a different team and for the rest of the season. Not a one shot deal. Anyway, no big thing ... just perhaps something of interest for a few. _________________ David |

I'm pretty sure it's a TT USA driven thing rather than head office in Holland. The drivers are almost irrelevant - they want the US market and let's face it, they need to start selling more given their recent losses.
TT HQ don't seem to do sponsorship... |

It'll give the drivers a new excuse when they come off the track. _________________ TT Go Essential |

I can't wait to hear a driver say 'I went of the track because my SatNav told me to turn RIGHT in 1/2 a mile'.
(yes I know some NASCAR & IRL tracks have turns other than left) _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

I posted the message just because I could see the humourous aspect of it.
My own question is whether the driver might choose: 1) Fastest or 2) Shortest route?
Seriously, TT has SEVERE negative cash flow issues and sponsorship like that for the Nascar venture runs into the millions a year.
(mind you, TT may have noticed the sponsorship of Garmin for one of the teams last year in the Tour de France. That had to make them sit up and take notice) _________________ David |
