COM8 Not Selectable on HP 1945

I just purchased an HP 1945 with Windows Mobile 2003. I'm trying to use it with my new Fortuna Clip-on and TomTom Navigator 2.24.2. The TT GPS version is 2.09.

From reading other posts, I know that I need to use COM8 (outbound) to connect to the GPS. However, neither TomTom GPS nor Winfast Navigator will let me select COM8. All I can select is: COM3, Bluetooth Serial Port COM5, COM0, Serial on USB. I know that COM5 is outbound, which is what it doesn't work. Is there any way to "force" the drop-down dialog to take a different COM port?

I've verified that I can connect manually with the Bluetooth Manager to the GPS. The connection works, but I cannot use it with TomTom.
I'm using the US version of everything, if that matters.

Any Ideas?

uninstall GPS 2.09 and reinstall 2.07 (from our downloads section) you should then see COM8 again.
