possible reason for freeze/lockups ttn3 & 2210 with bt

Hi

this morning whilst driving to work TTN3 (gps 3.02) lost the bt connection once and froze once (whilst on the safety screen). Eachtime it was ressurected by unticking then ticking the connection box in the gps module.

I think this was caused by activesync butting in - the freeze ups stopped after I de selected "use mobile schedule to sync with this pc" - its now been running for an hour whilst sat on my desk connected to my car outside without a single problem.

I never selected this but did repartner my bt mobile with the ipaq over weekend so this may have caused this option to select itself (I did a hard reset before installing ttn3 so had no phones partnered before this and no ttn3 lockups).

So - not sure if this will help anyone - if you are getting random lockups check this setting.

The "Use mobile schedule to sync with this PC" option is automatically selected after a hard reset. Almost every user of Pocket PC 2003 is advised to deselect this option.

I'm sure you'll update this thread if it helps.

Just in case others need to know - to disactivate "Use mobile schedule to sync with this PC" do the following :

On your pda go to start : programs : active sync

Click on "Tools" then the PC tab

Untick "Use mobile schedule to sync with this PC"

Note you can only do this while the pda is not connected to your pc.
