As I understand on device such as TT 720, it boots from the sd card, so you can have one TT op system on that, but also install another on the hdd?
Am I right so far Cool

However when I take SD card out at boot up I get the red cross through SD card symbol, so how can I force it to seek out hdd in this circumstance?

It will boot from SD if a suitable application is installed and internal memory if no SD or no application on an inserted SD. This is automatic.

Your symptoms suggest there is an issue with the internal memory application? Have you tried a soft reset?

Thanks for that; my issue is that 8.3.50 seems to have destroyed TMC capability on my 720T, so I thought if I had a previous version on hdd could revert to that, by omitting SD.

Have tried reset earlier but red cross persists; does that mean I need to wipe the hdd as per instructions elsewhere on site?

When you dock the device can you see the internal memory?

If yes, and you have a backup then re-install from that.

Yes my PC sees the "E" (TT) drive content, so I'll wipe/ backup.

Thanks Wink

Been formatting & restoring & have forgotten tip as to how to restore
the TT Icon, which is in root folder, so My Computer doesn't just show
"Internal" text and no logo against TT HDD.

Reminder valued; can't find via searching here. Question

From memory it needs the .ico file and an Autorun.inf that names the device and references the .ico Icon. Are these not in your backup or on the SD version?

Excellent, that's cracked it;
Was one of loose files I had purged. Shocked
