Let's have a sweepstake for the date.
I say Friday, 29th May.
(You might also like to do a sweepstake on whether the TT servers will crash on Friday 29th May for the weekend). _________________ Dennis

Thursday, 4th June. The servers will not crash, merely be unforgivably slow. |

It is always a Friday, and usually just before a Bank Holiday so 29th May is a good guesstimate!
I will go with 22nd May just to be awkward. |

But isn't May 22nd the Friday before the Bank Holiday? Or have I missed something?
I'll go for 5th June (this year!) _________________ Phil |

Its wide spread knowledge on this forum that the maps are released every three months, preceding each new map release is a software update so it doesn't take insider knowledge or a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion they might be available soon - as a bit of fun picking a date for when they are released could become a game - Dennis has gone for my preferred choice, so lets have 12/05/09 - Mike |

Yep, quite certain it will be the 29th, since I registered my 740 on the 28th of April. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Now that is the strongest bit of support so far for my choice (except we're forgetting they don't release NA maps until at least three weeks after we've started beta testing ours). I just hope we don't have to wait until 29th April 2010 for the x50 range - I'm simply gagging to lay my hands on a working TT Go! _________________ Dennis

I'll agree with May 29th.....
And I'll further predict that exactly 30 seconds after first announcement of the map, TT's servers wll crash and burn as this will be the first shot for North Americans who bought the map subscription to try and get our first update.
